Never to Roam
Keeping to the shadows as he tracks,
Frenzied eyes stare at her back -
He watches as she heads for home,
Waiting till she’s all alone.
Never seen but always there,
Sensing him she turns to stare;
Heart beat pounding in her chest,
Hands clasped tightly at her breast.
Adrenaline pumping in his veins,
He does not feel the pounding rain,
How could she betray him with another?
He vows that there shall be no other!
Yearning for his sweet revenge,
Fingers slide along blades edge,
Her eyes should be for him alone,
Never be allowed to roam.
He walks unhindered in her house,
Creeping quieter than a mouse;
She slumbers soundly in her room,
She cannot sense impending doom.
Climbing up onto her bed,
Dagger placed beside her head,
Her eyes should be for him alone,
Never be allowed to roam.
Cruel blade cuts deep into her eyes,
Tortured screams fill night skies,
Her eyes should be for him alone,
Never be allowed to roam.
He holds them tight within his hands,
Now he feels more like a man,
Her eyes are now for him alone -
Never be allowed to roam.
With pride, surveys the mess he’s made,
Tasting sweet blood upon cruel blade,
Her eyes belong to him alone.
Never will they ever roam.
