Twist of Shadows
Full moon at zenith in black velvet sky
listen, for the sound of her haunting cry
a lady of shadow, deep within dark trance
can you follow the steps of her elaborate dance?
Fluidity of movement, each step enchanting
at one with the shadows – her partners in dancing
enthralling those watching as lithe body twists
gathering to her creatures of shadows and mists
Twist of Shadows a dance of mysterious ways
if you witness the dance, with you it will stay
each haunting movement, inside you will seep
you’ll remember them in daylight and seek them in sleep
