Spiderman
So you’ve closed your eyes,
And drifted to sleep –
Within the Realm of Dreams
You travel deep.
A smile on your lips,
Your dreams must be sweet –
Yet there is one,
You’re yet to meet . . .
He watches your house,
Enters you room –
All the while humming,
His Lullaby tune.
On candy stripped legs,
Peering down at you –
Oblivious to his presence
You haven’t a clue
Weaving strong silken threads -
Poised above you he hangs
With long strands of venom
Trickling from razor sharp fangs
Your image now captured,
Shivers in SpiderMan’s eyes –
Forever you’re trapped,
Forever He locks you inside
Each night He will come,
As the sun fades to night –
This Master of Nightmares
SpiderMan, feeds off your fright
