The Countess
As the sun wanes and fades away
Creatures of nightmare emerge to play -
Moonlight surrounds a castle dark,
As the night mists retreat and part.
Whispers carried on laughing wind,
Unseen hands caress your skin.
Upon hilltop, ancient castle lies;
Scarlet eyes glowing at window, you spy.
Her castle quiet, inside she’s waiting,
your heart beats fast, anticipating;
You know the legend - inside it burns
The touch of darkness you crave and yearn.
Down numerous stairs, beneath the earth,
Torches flare, cobwebs frame hearth;
Emerging from shadow, beauty of night,
Within defiant eyes power burns bright.
She seeks your eyes, penetrating gaze,
Leading you down twisting pathways;
Now you’re hers, mind body and soul,
Deep you fall, under her control.
