Welcome to Night's Neverland

Guardian

Walking through an ancient grove, to whispers she does listen
Morning sun breaks through the bows, on wings it shines and glistens
Eyes peer out from hidey-holes, a raven perched upon her horn,
Guardian calls out her greeting to the creatures of the morn

Cougars laze beneath warm sun, on bank of sparkling stream
Butterflies dance about her in a myriad coloured dream,
As morning birds serenade, her land she doth survey
Her mind opens hidden doors and roams the sacred ways

Her senses roam in widening web, floating on fragrant breeze,
Searching through swaying grass, echoing amongst the trees,
Wedge-tail eagle performs his dance to praise a sapphire sky -
Regal head regards him with her ever watchful eye

Lines of earth run deep and strong, streams clear and blue
Spiders weave their silken threads, diamonds made of dew
Lives of those she cares for to her soul they are entwined
From mighty bear to leaping stag, oak and twisting vine

Beneath sky of crimson hues she watches setting sun,
Thinking of how foul and selfish humans have become;
Bleeding dry the sacred waters, ravaging the earth -
Crafting whispers of unease, where once was joy and mirth

Those that come upon her realm with hatred deep within,
Soon will feel her contempt fervent, rippling through their skin,
Eyes peer from oaken leaves, shadows stalk their path
Thunder rumbles overhead, a symbol of her wrath

Her tears fill the ancient lakes, breath stirs the breeze,
Heart hums within the earth, wings enfold the trees -
Guarding Nature’s precious secrets, mysteries and lore
Within her sacred realm of magic she’ll guard them evermore
