Welcome to Night's Neverland
The Biography of Amanda Lancaster

Amanda Lancaster was born in Melbourne, Australia, in August, 1979. While she has always been an avid reader of both fiction novels and poetry, she never considered herself as a writer despite the fact that her first poems - verse about her beloved pets - were written at a very young age. Like many creative people, Amanda bowed to society's pressures and suppressed her creative side ... until one day she could supress it no more. Amanda's world was rocked by grief. Death and heartbreak touched her young life when she suffered the loss of her father at age fifteen, and the later loss of her best friend to an undiagnosed heart condition.

Needing to release the festering sorrow and pain within, Amanda began to write again in her early twenties. Her first poem was 'Thinking' and explored the loss of her friend and became the first step on a path of healing through creativity.

Over the last year or two her writing has developed a life of its own and with much support and encouragement from some very dear friends Amanda has chosen to develope and refine her craft and talent. She knows the writer dwells within and takes solace in the magick of creating.
